Bear Valley Baked Beans

2 slices bacon, cut into 1″ pieces, optional
1 1/4 lbs. canned baked beans
1/3 C. chopped onions
2 T. plus 2 tsp. brown sugar
2 tsp. molasses
1 1/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp. dry mustard

In a heavy non-stick skillet over medium high heat, sauté bacon pieces for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until crispy. Drain skillet and discard drippings. Stir in baked beans, chopped onions, brown sugar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce and dry mustard. Cover, reduce heat to medium low and simmer for 15 minutes.
